My dog Punky was a rescue. The owner was giving her up for multiple reasons but primarily because she was not house trained. When I adopted Punky, I knew I had my work cut out for me. I started working with her and soon I realized how smart she was. She was communicating with me in ways that I didn't think possible. Once I learned how to speak her language, I was able to teach her in ways she could understand. It was at this time that I realized I wanted to go into dog training. Punky went on to live 9 wonderful years with us. Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly on July 16th, 2020. She had an aggressive form of liver cancer that metastasized to her brain. As much as I wanted to keep her, I knew we couldn't save her. Punky was my heart and my soul. Every dog that I train, I train in her memory.
